Windows XP detects SD card but asks to insert disk drive

Hi.
When I insert my SD card into the slot, the removable hardware tab in the My Computer window comes up with an icon that reads Removable Disk (F:) but when I try to open it, a message box pops up asking me to 'please insert a disk into drive F:
