Toshiba touchpad keeps getting stuck

Hello,

I have a Toshiba Satellite C55D-B and my touchscreen keeps getting stuck. It's not that it's turning off, I know how to turn it on/off with Fn+F5. It will just stop responding to touch for short periods of time and only work if I wipe it with something, but then it will stop working again shortly after. My fingers are clean so I'm not leaving any residue on the pad or anything. Anyone have a good fix for this?
