Start up screen

Hello,

So since windows 10 install its been a nuisance to operate my laptop. Instead of putting in my password and then opening up to my desk top which includes my internet browsers and other files it comes up with the start menu. I don't like this.

The first time it happen it simply closed itself, exposing the desktop underneath. Now, i can't find anyway to return to the desktop screen.

Help.
