How to copy conditional formatting to other cells but not refs

Hi All
I am trying to copy conditional formatting from an original cell to others but the format still refers to the original. Sorry if this is obvious I just can't seem to fix it.

What ive done...

Using 'conditional formatting rules manager'
1st rule: 'use a formula to determine which cells to format' =$B$1>$A$1 result: fill the cell in red.

2nd rule: 'use a formula to determine which cells to format' =$B$1<$A$1 result: fill the cell in green.

This works fine but when i try pasting this the conditional formatting is affected by the original cells (A1 & B1).

Ive tried different pasting options and format painter but nothing seems to achieve what im after.

Any help would be greatly received
