Windows 8.1:How do you fix the black screen after powering on?

(I am a new person)Here's how it happend
First of all, I playing a game then the battery of my laptop was drained so it shutdown, powered it on then it showed the login in, problem was I couldn't do anything so I powered off my laptop.
Then when I started the laptop the black/grey screen was there.
My mouse and keyboard were off, so I couldn't do something.(couldn't type and there was no cursour)
There were signs that my laptop was on.
It showed the light that indicated you were using it and when you are charging.
Help me please!
