Emails lost in Gmail account

please help me , how can I recover recently accidently , I think deleted emails from my gmail account. Though it is strange that my sent messages are gone also.
I have tried many suggestions I found online but still no solution

Can I restore from a backup on my Mac or Iphone to recover?
Can I recover from gmail server with someones' help?
