Recently moved cant sign in to my hotmail account

I've recently moved to another country and when i try to sign in to my hotmail account it says "We've detected something unusual... you might be signing in from a new location". So that is correct. The problem is the back up account to send the security code to is my husbands account which is also hotmail which is having the same problem. I've set up a new account to send the security codes to. The security code comes through, i put it in. Then it sends me to the verification page. From there it emails me to say the account has been verified and i have to change my password. I go to log in and it takes me back to the start. What can i do differently. I've been trying for over a week with no results. Please help.
