Compaq presario cq60 stuck on red screen

I have a compaq presario cq60 that gets stuck on the compaq screen when it boots...i've cleared cmos hit esc hit f10 and nothing happens..ive removed the hd to put it into another laptop and it does the same..i put a workin hd in the cq60 and it still gets stuck...i thought maybe the bios was corrupt but the original hd doesnt boot on any other laptop i own...its running factory windows 7...however if i hook up the hd externally to a working laptop im able to access all the files...any help would be grateful
