Hard drive used on tv digital topbox won't show on computer

Hello,
The Samsung external hard drive I've been using connected to my digital tv topbox to record tv is now not being recognized by my computer, I can find it in my devices and it says it's working properly but I can't open it to use it and it doesn't show under my computer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
