Windows 10 Start Menu is locked to Desktop Screen

So t'is is weird.

When I opened my newly upgraded Win 10 (I recently upgraded from Win 7 Ultimate), I found that the "start screen" was locked to the desktop.



I have been trying many ways to fix it, such as restarting windows explorer, but they just do not work. :(

When I press the start button, it goes to that screen. It doesn't open the little box at the bottom-left side of the screen with everything, like it's supposed to. When I'm in that screen and I press the start menu button, it does nothing.

Help?
