Won't Turn On

Hello, my iPod touch 5th generation died last night and when plugged in it began to show the apple logo as if it was turning on and after 15-20 minutes it still had not. I then let it charge longer and the apple logo would come on then shut off and continuously do that. I then let it charge all night so about 11 hours and it still is continuing to not turn on. Somebody please help.
