Differences in two excel sheets

Hello,

I am trying to see if I can compare the first column in two different excel sheets to see if there are differences.

Column A Book 1 Column A Book 2

Z3YOAA Z3YOAA
AZQOAA AZQOAA
WB2PAA HLUPAA
FHFOAA FHFOAA

As you can see the third one down in book 2 is different. How can I run a Look up to quickly identify if there are differences? And do both sheets have to to be in exactly the same order for it to work?
