I have a compaq presario cq62 that I am trying to use as a back up laptop. When I plug in the power adapter, the LED light lights up showing that it is getting juice. When I press the power button however, nothing happens. I have tried all the tricks like unplugging, holding power for 60 seconds, plugging back in and pressing power with a combination of other keys. Nothing. The laptop doesn't have a battery so I didn't have to worry about taking out the battery. I am a little tech savy, so I took the laptop apart, made sure all the ribbon wires were in good contact with their terminals, looked at the power button relay going to the MB and it looked ok. Any ideas where I should look next? I have tried multiple RAM cards and switching hard drives.
