The sims 3 doesn't work

Hello,
so the sims 3 game doesn't wanna start cos it says that my graphics card is missing even though i have it. I already tried taking it out and back in, and i tried to update my drivers but if do that then my computer doesn't wanna work like it's just black screen when i turn it on. Does anyone know what i can do to make sims 3 work?
