Excel '10 - A Macro to Populate Month Column Based on Date/Sched [Closed]

I'm trying to work on a macro in Excel 2010 to auto-populate certain month (Jan-Dec) columns with an "X" based on the criteria of two other columns. One column provides the date and year (e.g. Aug/16) and the other provides the schedule (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual).

For example, if column E reads Aug/16 and column F reads quarterly, populate Feb, May, Aug, and Nov columns with an "X". Or if column E reads Aug'16 and column F reads semi-annual, populate Aug and Feb columns.

Is this something that would potentially be achievable with a macro?
