Sony recovery shut down, restart loop

I;ve been trying to factory reset a sony Vaio.everything seemed to be going ok until it asked for location,language,keyboard,etc.i answered ..hit next a few times then it shuts down,restarts then asks same questions over and over as if in a loop..not getting anywhere/help!!
