My touchpad not working at all after replacing keyboard

On replacing keyboard on my Sony vaio laptop mouse is not working at all nor it is showing any arrow sign but it works f9 with external USB mouse any solutions for these would be appreciated is there a hardware problem??? as mouse was working f9 before replacing keyboard keyboard was replaced by computer engineer but he doesn't knw what happened
