CD/DVD not working after upgrade to WIN 10

After upgrading to WIN 10, the CD/DVD drive stopped working though it is detected in bios and Windows.The lenvovo service team diagnosed the issue as "dust accumulation" and cleaned the drive. But, the problem returned the next day.

The drive runs with intermittent gruffy noise but does not read the contents of CD. Please help in resolving the issue. I believe the Lenovo team edited the windows registry already to make it compatible with WIN 10.

My external CD drive works nicely on the same machine.
