Cant play COD 4 multiplayer :(

So my COD 4 on steam isnt working, single player works perfectly fine, im on a Macbook Pro
I can start up multiplayer, but when i click join servers, it goes to my dashboard, then a pop up notification says it has quit unexpectedly, PLEASE HELP,
