Lenovo ThinkPad's power light is on bt it's screen is black

today i was working on my laptop. Suddenly it's stop working,so i switch off my laptop.and on it again. Bt now it's screen is totally black and my dvd rom is not working.. It's on bt there is no internal processing sound. Kindly help me to find out this problem.
