Connecting Two Laptops without Internet...

Hello,

Just Wondering if you can connect two PC's for a LAN Minecraft server (not dedicated).

Like is there bluetooth or something...?

Also, If I did use internet (we have a NBN Satellite which goes about @ 25 Mbps / 5 Mbps ) how much data would it use for 2 people. We have 35gb day data (cant get unlimited because dont have cable). Would I Go over my limit?
