Toshiba Satellite P205D-S7802 won't start up/black screen

As stated in the title, I have a Toshiba Satellite P205D-S7802 that does not start up and has black screen, not even "Toshiba" graphic will display. Hard drive sounds like it's locked up and indicator light flashes only once upon powering up. I've tried some of the suggestions mentioned here, and on other sites, with no solution. Any solutions or suggested fixes would be most appreciated!!!
