I'm Mallory, and I have an Acer Aspire model no. p5we0 (I think), and it was on for 48 hours straight. One night was because I had my cousin over and she was using the plug for her phone, so I kept mine on to use as my phone charger, and the next night_last night_I was downloading something. I got up around 10 am, got on it, and it just shut off. Which wasn't a surprise because I need a new battery, and my computer is on "life support" and it needs to stay plugged in, but this time, it wouldn't turn on past the booting screen. It would just shut off. I already have a new battery and charger coming in the mail (I was using the wrong charger since mine broke..not smart). I don't know if I just need to use an air compressor on the fan and on the inside since I've had it for two years and haven't cleaned it, or it's just that I need the new battery/charger to come in. It's never had any issues until the battery died last week. For the time being, I am using my grandmother's PC to do my business on. Which is extremely hard for me since I'm accustomed to the mouse-pad on a laptop and not one for a desktop. If any of you have a solution, or it's just simply that I need my mail to come, please tell me. Greatly appreciate it, thanks.
