HP Envy 14 Black screen but works on safe mode

Hello,
I have a HP Envy 14 (very old I know)..it suddenly shutdown / blacked screen. I tried waiting and restarting, unplugging...attaching it to an external monitor (doesn't work) and sadly nothing works. The laptop key broad is running and the screen works on safe mode. The laptop does get hot every quickly and the battery life has died (running on AC power for years).

Please tell me what I can do! Much thanks!!
