Keyboard four letters and two numbers are not working

Hi all,I'm hoping someone can help me,
I'm using a Lenovo Thinkpad,
I can not connect to the internet because
4 for the letters and 2 of the numbers is not working so I'm trying to use a Apple wireless keyboard with not much luck as I don't know what I am doing
Can everyone help me please ? I would be very grateful,
