Audio issues on PC

I've been experiencing audio issues on my computer. I've tried everything to fix it, but to no avail. Everytime I want test my audio, it says that the headphones are in use, even though no audio is playing. (My headphones are plugged in, so I don't know if my headphones are messed up, or my PC is not playing audio. I think I might try using another option I found to help me, but I want an opinion or anything I can do before I do anything.)
(Nevermind, I put in new headphones and they worked.)
