Buzz: YouTube Video Captures Laughing Dolphin

Dolphins are one of the smartest creatures on the planet, but what makes them laugh? For this SeaWorld resident, it's gymnastics.

Circus performer Bonnie Anna Kerlin from FunDipped Productions, also known as "MissChief," decided to do some gymnastics beside the dolphin enclosure at SeaWorld Orlando earlier this year and was surprised to see that she had quickly become the exhibit. It was just an ordinary day for the dolphins residing at SeaWorld Orlando when a strange mammal started doing cartwheels and backflips in front of the glass. One dolphin was intrigued and stopped swimming around the enclosure to watch the spectacle. Kerlin and her friend, who filmed the encounter, noticed the dolphin's interest and continued the show. Kerlin performed a series of walkovers, cartwheels, handstands, and other various gymnastic moves for the dolphin, who responded with what appears to be laughing and joy. The dolphin stopped to watch, making what appears to be a gleeful noise and releasing a large air bubble, and proceeded to inch closer to the glass to watch Kerlin's performance.

The extended video, which is just over one minute long, was uploaded to YouTube on June 20th of this year and has been viewed nearly 950,000 times, at the time of writing. The video of the gymnast-enthused dolphin, dubbed "Girl Makes Dolphin Laugh," was featured earlier this week on BuzzFeed, leading to a massive spike in views and shares. FunDipped Productions has posted several popular videos including "Girl Mimes with Dolphin" and "Grandmas Smoking Weed for the First Time." The smoking grandma video has been viewed more than 12 million times since it was uploaded just two days ago.
