Razer has introduced the Ornata, a hybrid gamer keyboard that focuses on both comfort and efficiency.
(CCM) — Electronics company Razer has rolled out a new hybrid gamer keyboard that features the company's new "mecha-membrane" technology. According to reports by Tech Times, the device combines the technology behind membrane rubber dome designs and mechanical keyboards. Because of this, users enjoy the comfort afforded by the former and the tactile feedback and efficiency offered by the latter. "The Razer Mecha-Membrane is the result of years of research and development that we've dedicated to build the best keyboards for gamers," notes Razer co-founder and CEO Min-Liang Tan.
In addition, the Ornata boasts programmable keys, a dedicated gaming mode, ten-key rollover, and ten simultaneous key presses. It will also ship with a magnetic detachable ergonomic wrist rest and green monochrome backlighting. The keyboard will come in two versions: a basic one, which will be priced at $79.99, and a Chroma one, which will be priced at $99.99. Razer hopes to make both versions of the keyboard available to retailers by October, though both devices are already available for preorder on Razer's official site.
