(CCM) — Nintendo, Super Mario’s creator, has made a big announcement that it will launch the game for iOS users next month. Super Mario Run is a classic runner genre game, where gamers have to run and finish each level within a given time limit. Players will have to tap the screen to make Mario jump and skip obstacles, enemies, and collect coins. There is also a multi-player option, called Toad Rally, inside of the game that allows users to race against other players on their social media friend list.

Super Mario Run will go online in 151 countries starting Dec. 15 for the entire Apple device range, whereas Android users will have to wait a few more months. It will be compatible with iOS 8.0 and above and will support English, Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Russian, and traditional Chinese language options. Both a free and a paid version of the game will be rolled out. The paid version will sport a $9.99 price tag, which includes unlimited access to all three game modes, which the free version will only offer limited gameplay.
