New information about Samsung’s forthcoming flagship phone has made its way online.
(CCM) — Samsung is gearing up to launch its next flagship mobile device, the Galaxy S8. As the rollout nears, many leaks have begun to surface on the internet, the latest of which hints at the launch date, specifications, and pricing. Ricciolo, a leakster, tweeted that the Galaxy S8 is both “ready” to make its debut and will be first showcased to investors and journalists at the 2017 Mobile World Congress (MWC) show.
While consumers will have to wait until Mar. 29 for the official product launch, information about its features has also been leaked. The smartphone is expected to include a dual-edge curved screen with thin bezels and — possibly taking a cue from Apple’s iPhone — may also come integrated with 3D Touch (i.e. pressure-sensitive display). This time around, Samsung is expected to let go of the Home Button and navigation buttons, and the fingerprint sensor may be placed at the back or under the display. Ricciolo also tweeted that the forthcoming device might be priced higher than the Galaxy S7 lineup at €849 for the standard phone and €949 for the Galaxy S8.
