Ahead of the #HelloMotoWorld event in New York, the details of the upcoming Moto Z2 Force smartphone have surfaced.
(CCM) — Motorola seems to be gearing up to launch another flagship device in the Moto Z series, dubbed Moto Z2 Force. According to a new report, the company is organising the #HelloMotoWorld event in New York next week, and some of the specs on the phone have already surfaced online. Previously, we have also seen leaked press renders of the device that give us a fair idea about the potential design.
Reportedly, the new Moto Z2 Force is 1mm thinner than its previous version. However, to get the sleek design, Motorola has reduced the battery capacity to 2730 mAh from 3500 mAh. Further, the report says that the smartphone will come with a 5.5-inch 1440 x 2560 Quad HD resolution Shatter-shield Super AMOLED POLED display, which is similar to its predecessor, the Moto Z Force. The device could come powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.
There will be two variants of the phone, one for global buyers and another for the US-based buyers. The global variant will feature 6 GB of RAM while the customers in the US will have access to just 4 GB of RAM. For storage, the device could come with 64 GB of internal storage that will be expandable up to 1 TB via a microSD card. In the imaging segment, the phone will come with a 12 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front-facing camera. A report from MySmartPrice also indicated that the phone will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out-of-the-box, but it will also receive an update for the latest Android 8.0 at the end of this year.
