Pixel 2 To Ditch Audio Jack
The upcoming Pixel 2 lineup is revealed in a 3D render video that reveals the absence of a 3.5 mm audio jack.

(CCM) — Google is gearing up to launch the next series of its Pixel device at the end of 2017. However, renders of the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL have surfaced on the internet before the launch. MySmartPrice has posted the leaked renders of both the upcoming devices that show off their design and built in 3D video. It captures the devices from all angles and reveals some intriguing details.

According to the leaked renders, we see a circular fingerprint scanner on the rear that is similar to the first Pixel lineup. New additions on the phone include front stereo speakers and a redesigned camera module. In contrast to the previous rumours, the video shows off a large single camera lens on both the devices. The large camera lens on the Pixel 2 lineup should bring exceptional picture quality.

Another detail that is leaked in the video is that the Pixel 2 lineup does not have a 3.5 mm audio jack. Following flagship devices like the iPhone 7, Google will be relying on a single USB Type-C port to offer audio and charging connectivity. The renders also reveal that the Pixel 2 will measure 145.3 x 69.3 x 7.8 mm while the Pixel 2 XL will measure 157.6 x 76.3 x 7.9 mm. Both the phones will have camera bump on the rear, the Pixel 2 will have 0.4 mm bump while the Pixel 2 XL will have 0.7 mm bump that will add to the overall thickness of the two devices.
