Mario Bros. Is Back After 35 Years
Nintendo has re-released the arcade version of Mario Bros. for its Nintendo Switch game console.

(CCM) — Thirty-five years after its original release in arcades, Nintendo has finally released its iconic Mario Bros. game on the Nintendo Switch game console. The arcade classic is now available in the Switch Eshop, and it is the first of Nintendo's recently announced Arcade Archives line.

Mario Bros. has been ported to a number of Nintendo game consoles over the years, but the Arcade Archives version accurately reproduces the graphics of the original arcade machines. It can be played on the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controller and two players can play together using one Joy-Con each. In two-player mode, players can either work together to defeat enemies or work against each other to get a higher score. Players can also change various settings such as the game difficulty, and they can also compete with their highest scores against other players from all over the world.

Earlier this month Nintendo announced a range of Arcade Archives titles which will be released in the near future, including Vs. Super Mario Bros., Vs. Balloon Fight, Vs. Ice Climber, Vs. Pinball, and Vs. Clu Clu Land. These were all originally released for the Nintendo VS coin-operated video game system.

Mario Bros is available today, priced at $7.99
