Snapchat has finally allowed its users to share Stories on other social media platforms, like Facebook and Twitter.
(CCM) — In a somewhat revolutionary move, Snapchat has finally decided to break down barriers and allows its users to share Snap Stories on other social media platforms, such as Facebook and Twitter. To share stories externally, Snapchat users will first need to link their social media accounts with Snapchat before having the option appear in the app. Users will also be able to share Stories by text or email via a link that will redirect to a webpage for recipients who do not have the Snapchat app installed.
Users with the redesigned Snapchat app already have access to the new sharing feature. Other users are expected to gain access to it over the course of the next few weeks.
Snapchat launched its popular Stories feature in 2014, allowing users to broadcast photos and videos to all of their followers at once. These stories appeared on their profiles for 24 hours and were automatically deleted after this period. Later, the platform introduced the ability to save content, either directly in the app or to a Camera Roll.
