OnePlus 5T Gets Oreo Update
The new update brings Oreo to the OnePlus 5T, while the OnePlus 5 finally gets the Face Unlock feature.

(CCM) — OnePlus has finally started rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo update for its OnePlus 5T and OnePlus 5 smartphones. The new update brings features such as Face Unlock to the OnePlus 5.

The latest update is being rolled out over-the-air (OTA) with version number Oxygen OS 5.0.2. As expected, it introduced several Oreo features, such as Notification Dots, Smart Text Selection, Picture-in-Picture (PiP), and more, to the OnePlus 5T. The new update also adds a redesigned quick settings menu to the phone and fixes reported bugs. It's worth noting that the OnePlus 5 received the Oreo update in December 2017, and this update is only aimed at including Face Unlock feature to the device. According to a post on OnePlus forums, the Oreo update also upgraded the Launcher app, Gallery app, Weather app, and File Manager app to v2.2, v2.0, v2.19, and v1.7.6, respectively.

As of now, the OTA update has been released for select units and will soon start rolling out on a broader scale.
