LG Korea has confirmed that it will launch the G7 ThinQ smartphone in New York City next month.
(CCM) — After weeks of rumors about the release of LG’s G7 ThinQ smartphone, the company has finally released official information. The company confirmed that the unveiling event will be organized in New York City on May 2, 2018, followed by another launch event in Seoul, South Korea on May 3, 2018.
In a statement, Ha Jeong-wook, managing director at LG Electronics said: “Since smartphones have focused on filling new functions and more functions so far, it is time for us to find solutions to how convenient customers actually use them. We will show the convenience that we have not seen until now by concentrating the accumulated AI technology.”
In the announcement, LG also suggested that the upcoming LG G7 will bear AI-integrated features, like AI CAM, QLens, Voice AI, Empathy AI, Vision AI, and more. Other leaks about the LG G7 suggest that it may feature 16 MP + 16 MP dual rear camera setup, coupled with HDR10 compatibility for video-recording. It is also rumored to feature an M+ LCD panel, which is rumored to be twice as bright as that of the LG G6, and Boombox Speakers for enhanced audio output.
