Tinder Now Curates Potential Dates
Tinder 'Picks' offers Gold subscribers a daily selection of potential matches.

(CCM) — Swiping left or right through long lists of potential partners may soon become a thing of the past for Tinder users thanks to a new feature called "Picks."

The new feature offers users a selection of their "most swipe-worthy potential matches," highlighting what makes them stand out with a single word such as "Surfer," "Creative," or "Entrepreneur," derived from their profile. "Picks" can be accessed by tapping on the diamond at the top of the discovery screen.

"That’s right — if you have your heart set on an adventurer (and all others need not apply) you can skim, swipe, and match without wasting a moment," the company explained in a blog post.

New picks are selected every day, replacing the previous day's picks, but users can choose to see more picks on a given day for an additional fee.

"Picks" is only available to Tinder Gold subscribers, who can also see people in other cities, go back to previous swipes, and see who has "swiped right" on their profiles. It is being tested on iOS in the U.K., Germany, Brazil, France, Canada, Turkey, Mexico, Sweden, Russia, and the Netherlands, and is expected to be rolled out to the U.S. in the near future.
