Multi-Colored iPhone Range in Pipeline

Multi-Colored iPhone Range in Pipeline
New iPhone variants in blue, red, orange, and gold are planned for release later this year, a report says.

(CCM) — Apple is planning to unleash new iPhones later this year in a rainbow of colors that include orange, red, blue, grey, white, gold, and black, according to a Verge report. The news comes from Ming-Chi Kuo, an industry analyst at KGI Securities with a record for accurately predicting Apple's moves.

The new range will include a giant iPhone with a 6.5-inch OLED screen, available in black, white, and a new gold color, and a slightly smaller device with a 6.1-inch LED screen, offered in grey, white, blue, red, and orange. The larger phone may offer dual-SIM support, a common feature in Android phones but one which Apple has so far eschewed.

If the predictions are true this will signal a change of course for Apple. The company usually released a red version of one of its iPhones some months after launch to promote the Product (RED) charity, and it has never before released an orange variant of one of its handsets.

In addition to the two large-screen iPhone variants, Apple is also expected to release a new version of its 5.8-inch iPhone X which includes some as yet unknown specification improvements, according to the report.
