Apple Car Could Arrive by 2023
An Apple vehicle could help the company become the world's first $3 trillion company.

(CCM) — The long-rumored Apple Car is under development and could be hitting the forecourts by 2023, an analyst with a proven track record for predicting Apple's moves has said.

Ming-Chi Kuo, of TF Securities, made the claim in a research note released this week, Tech Times is reporting. He added that the Car could be Apple's next major product, and believes that the company will integrate many of its services such as music and mapping into the vehicle. Apple could also use the Car as a vehicle to help it enter the lucrative car financing market.

Kuo also predicted that Apple will release augmented reality glasses within the next two calendar years. "We predict that AR is the next-generation revolutionary UI; we therefore think that AR does not need any killer applications given it is a killer application already," he said in his research note. "We expect Apple will redefine the UIs of existing products by offering an AR experience created by the AR glass, which will likely be launched in 2020," he added.

Google launched its own augmented reality glasses as far back as 2013, but priced at $1500 these were too expensive to gain widespread adoption in the consumer market, and faced widespread criticism due to privacy and safety concerns. They were discontinued in January 2015.
