Apple Plans Three New iPhone X Clones

Apple Plans Three New iPhone X Clones
The new iPhones expected in September will all take their design cues from the iPhone X.

(CCM) — Apple has got three new iPhones in the pipeline that feature the edge-to-edge design of last year's iPhone X, according to a Bloomberg report.

One will be a new flagship iPhone with a 6.5-inch OLED display, making it by far largest iPhone ever made. It will have a glass back with dual cameras, and stainless steel edges, according to the report. Thanks to its large screen size it will feature the ability to display apps like Mail and Calendar side by side.

The existing iPhone X will get an upgrade to a faster processor and better camera, the report adds, but the 5.8-inch screen will remain unchanged.

The iPhone 8 will be replaced with a new phone which will resemble an iPhone X, but with a 6.1-inch display. This will have aluminum edges and an LCD screen rather than the iPhone X's OLED panel, and it will be available in a range of colors, according to Bloomberg.

Both the larger iPhones will offer dual-Sim slots, at least in some regions. This feature is common in Android devices and is particularly useful to international travelers.

All three of the new iPhones are expected to be unveiled by Apple in September and are likely to go on sale shortly after.
