Microsoft and Apple Tackle iCloud Bug
iCloud for Windows users who have updated to the latest version of Windows 10 are experiencing syncing problems.

(CCM) — Technicians from Microsoft and Apple are working together around the clock to hunt down and fix an incompatibility bug that stops iCloud for Windows from updating or syncing shared photo albums when running on the latest version of Windows 10.

The much-delayed Windows 10 October Update was only re-released last week after a bug in the original October release was found to cause some users' data to disappear. But now the iCloud bug is forcing Microsoft to block the update from users who have iCloud installed on their computers, according to an Engadget report.

"Apple has identified an incompatibility with iCloud for Windows (version where users may experience issues updating or synching Shared Albums after updating to Windows 10, version 1809," Microsoft said on its support page. "Users who attempt to install the app (version on Windows 10, version 1809 will see a message stating that this version of iCloud for Windows isn’t supported, and the installation will fail."

At the moment there is no workaround to the problem for iCloud users, and Microsoft and Apple are unable to say when a fix will be issued to solve the problem.
