Google Slashes Pixel 3 Price Tag in Half
Both Pixel 3 handsets have been heavily discounted to mark the fourth anniversary of Google Fi.

(CCM) — Google has cut the prices of its Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL phgones by 50 per cent to mark the fourth anniversary of the launch of its Google Fi cellular service, MakeUseOf reports.

The standard 64 GB Pixel 3 is available for $399, down from the normal price of $799, while the 128 GB version is on sale at $449, down from the regular price of $899. Prices have been similarly cut for the larger Pixel 3 XL device: the 64 GB version is now $449, down from $899, while the 128 GB handset is now $499, reduced from $999. There are, however, a couple of catches to the deal.

The first is that it is only available up to midnight PST at the end of Apr. 22, 2019, the anniversary of the date that Google Fi was first launched.

The second is that you have to be a new or existing Google Fi user, and anyone taking advantage of the offer has to activate their new device with Google Fi within 30 days of shipping, using the same account that was used to purchase it. If the device is not activated in this manner then Google will charge the Google Payments account an additional amount so that the total amount paid comes to the normal (non-discounted) price for the Pixel 3 device.
