New Legend of Zelda Title in Pipeline
A sequel to Nintendo's Switch title Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is already under development.

(CCM) — Nintendo is working on a sequel to its smash hit Switch console game Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the company revealed yesterday at the E3 gaming show in Los Angeles.

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one of the best selling Switch games, according to a BBC report, and Nintendo is clearly trying to cash in on its success while the game is still popular. The company showed off a short trailer for the as-yet unnamed sequel during its E3 presentation.

But the company had some disappointing news about its highly anticipated Animal Crossing game for the Switch console. The social simulation game, which has been as success on Nintendo's DS, Wii, and 3DS game systems, has now been delayed until March 2020 at the earliest.

Nintendo also highlighted other games from third-party developers which will be making their way to the Switch console in the near future.

Meanwhile, Polish game developer CK Projekt Red announced that the Switch version of its role-playing game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be released before the end of the year.

The title is already available for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles, but the Switch version will contain several sections that were originally sold as add-ons, according to the report, potentially offering hundreds of hours of extra gameplay.
