YouTube Music Launches Video Switching
Subscribers can now switch between synced versions of five million audio tracks and their music videos.

(CCM) — YouTube Music has unveiled a new feature which allows listeners to switch seamlessly between audio tracks and music videos hosted on YouTube, the music service has announced on the official YouTube blog.

When YouTube Music Premium and YouTube Premium subscribers start listening to a supported song on YouTube Music, a video button will appear on the screen, as well as the song's album artwork. Pressing the button will transition the subscriber to the song's music video at exactly the same point in the song.

A music button will then appear, allowing the subscriber to switch back and forth between the song and the song's music video without any interruption to the music itself.

YouTube says that it has "perfectly time-matched" over five million official music videos with their audio tracks.

For those who prefer not to watch music videos to conserve their data allowance or for any other reason, an option in the settings section allows subscribers to turn off the music video option by toggling a simple switch.

The new feature is available now via the Android or iOS version of the YouTube Music app.
