Dell laptop screen goes blank

Hi all: I have a problem with my Dell lap-top. I'd be on any web page and all of a sudden the screen goes blank. This happens 2 or 3 times a month. Thanks for your reply. How can I check these things? I bought the lap-top last September at the air base in Las Vegas, so the guarantee should be ok. I live in Germany, so I'll have to look up a Dell shop and ask them.
