The most anticipated movies of 2023

In this article, we take a look at some of the most anticipated film releases in 2023. Grab your popcorn!

In 2023 we will see many comebacks and sequels: Scream, The Marvels, Spider-Man, Super Mario Bros, Creed, Guardians of the Galaxy, Transformers, The Exorcist and even Mutant Ninja Turtles. Here we want to headline the most interesting of the upcoming year releases.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania

This is already the third part of the franchise about these superheroes and the 31st (!) film adaptation of Marvel comics. Lang and van Dyne explore the Quantum Realm and battle Kang the Conqueror. They are accompanied by van Dyne's parents and Lang's daughter Cassie in their adventures. The cast has two legends: Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer. Well, the main characters are played by Paul Rudd as Scott Lang and Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne, and Jonathan Majors plays Kang the Conqueror.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania release date: February 17th, 2023.

Jesus Revolution

Based on the book by Pastor Greg Laurie, Jesus Revolution follows the Jesus movement in the 70s in California. Judging by the trailer, the atmosphere and mood of the era, sung in the famous song by the Eagles, is very coolly conveyed in this movie from Jon Erwin and Brent McCorkle. Cast: Joel Courtney, Anna Grace Barlow, Jonathan Roumie and Kimberley Williams-Paisley

Jesus Revolution release date: February 24th, 2023.

The Flash

There will be many superheroes in the coming year. This time we are waiting for a new series of DC comics superverse. In the film, directed by Andy Muschietti, Barry travels back in time to prevent his mother from being murdered. Ezra Miller plays Barry Allen/The Flash, Ron Livingston and Maribel Verdu play his parents. However,  perhaps most intriguing in the film is the appearance of Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck, playing different Batman incarnations.

The Flash release date: June 23rd , 2022

Indiana Jones 5

This is the first film not directed by Steven Spielberg, but we will see Harrison Ford again in it. Directors James Mangold and Phoebe Waller-Breed dared to continue the legendary franchise.  The movie has a 5 stars cast, also including Antonio Banderas and Mads Mikkelsen.

Indiana Jones 5 release date: June 30th, 2023

Mission: Impossible: Paying for Death, Part One

Filming of the seventh part of this spy saga was postponed for a long time due to the pandemic, but finally Tom Cruise is back as IMS agent, accompanied by his team. Esai Morales will play the role of the main bad boy, and Vanessa Kirby will as an arms dealer Alanna Mitsopolis, "Max"'s daughter from the first Mission Impossible film. There's no trailer yet, but the movie will, as usual, have plenty of head-spinning scenes with racing, gunfire, and an actual bridge blowing up, a location that's been searched for across Europe for a long time. Dead Reckoning will have two parts, and the second part will be released on June 28th, 2024.

Mission: Impossible: Paying for Death, Part One release date: July 14th, 2023

Oppenheimer

The film biography of the famous scientist will take us to the atmosphere of the forties, when the "Manhattan Project" was developed to create an atomic bomb. In order to convey the atmosphere of that era, director Christopher Nolan, who loves IMAX technology, first used black and white filming in this format. The film is starring Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr and Cillian Murphy as J. Robert Oppenheimer.

Oppenheimer release date: July 21th, 2023

Dune: Part Two

Fans of the first "Dune" should not have waited long: Paul Atreides' struggle against Harkonnen and Sardaukar forces in the second part continues with the previous heroes (Timothée Chalamet as Paul, Rebecca Fergusson, Javier Bardem, Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman), as well as with new faces: Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken, and Léa Seydoux. We look forward to new stylish costumes, futuristic palaces and sandy landscapes of the planet Arrakis.

Wonka

Are you the type whose first date was at a movie about a crazy chocolatier? And it doesn't matter which one, with Gene Wilder or Johnny Depp. The main thing is that the film adaptation of Roald Dahl's novel "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" is back! It will be a prequel: the owner of a chocolate factory in his younger years is played by Timothée Chalamet. In other roles are Rowan Atkinson, Sally Hawkins, Olivia Colman, Keegan Michael-Key and Jim Carter. Directed by Paul King.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom

And another DC comics blockbuster, right on Christmas Day! This is the sequel to the first Aquaman (2018), and the role of the king of Atlantis, born of a lighthouse keeper and sea princess, continues to be played by Jason Momoa. The film also features two legendary actors: Dolph Lundgren plays King Nereus, William Dafoe acts as Aquaman's mentor, and Nicole Kidman plays Arthur's mother. The forces of evil are represented by the pirate Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) and Aquaman's brother, Orm Marius (Patrick Wilson).
