Trying to reconnect to Skype

I have been trying unsuccessfully to use my Skype account, unfortunately I’ve forgotten my password, I have been told they will email a code to me but I am not receiving it.

Who had told you that a code would be sent to you?

I assumed it was from Skype!

Think I may have replied in the wrong box!
I assumed it was Skype or whoever controls Skype.
