My dvd-r/cr-rw

Hello,
my driver rom can read a cd-r and dvd-r but one time i buy a dvdr and i try to burn in properties of dvdr zero free space and zero free space then i buy again but this time my dvdr can`t read if i watch dvd movies its ok its playing anyone can help me><
