Dvd writer HLDS GSA-H31N HH SATA 16X DVD+/-RW

Hello,
dvd writer HLDS GSA-H31N HH SATA 16X DVD+/-RW will only see cds not dvds. this is on a dell inspiron 531 running windows vista home premium. tried flashing the drive no luck this also looks like it has just a generic vista driver for this drive and identifies it as a DVD/CD-ROM drives. driver it has installed dont know if this is just a generic driver or not but is listed as HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GSA-H31N. PLZ HELP dont know what to do next.

Hi,

If its in warranty then approach to your nearest service center or

open the drive and try to clean the lens.

or you can use lens cleaner.
