hi,
i am using Toshiba satellite A505 with windows 8 pro. my DVD drive shows "insert a disc " even disc is already in it and doesn't play.. I have tried audio CD, DVD, installation disc, but not playing any of it, ... please help to solve this problem..

DVD is not working
Dvd decoder - Download - CD and DVD
Dvd shrink - Download - CD and DVD
Ubuntu mount dvd - Guide
Dvd drive repair - Download - Backup and recovery
No cd/dvd-rom drive found gta sa - GTA Forum

This sounds like a hardware error. I suspect you will need to replace the drive.
